Once again, I love the patterns you are able to introduce in your artwork. The use of ink and watercolor is such an interesting combination. I love the way the colors are vivid and defined--I think it is the pen that has allowed many of the details to shine through. This reminds me of a mosaic; it's so intricate and bright.
The red of the flower immediately grabs my eye and then I'm taken on a roller coaster ride through the pattern. I feel as if I'm able to view this entire thing without getting too distracted and overwhelmed despite the intricacy of the pattern.
I know some people have suggested a stronger use of black ink at the poppy but I feel as though I want more distinction at the base where the leaves are. But that's just me. Honestly, I don't think it should be messed with; it's already brilliant! Great work.
Ah, the vivid inspiration & wonder found in nature never ceases . . I feel so pale beside its reality, yet am pushed to become even brighter and more wild in the intertwining of patterns. Soon as I see another one o these poppies in bloom, will return to this image to touch it up with your helpful suggestion in mind.
That's awesome. Concept and structure are wonderful.
I think it would be balanced nicely with just a *touch* more of the strong black outline present at the poppy head / top patterns being worked into the base.

Thanks again for the kind words!
